i think you will get 200,000+ out of it easy if you maintain it well. GM makes some good stuff, i had a 94 v6 camaro that i bought with 100k on the clock and it crapped out at 267k

The general owner "maintenance" program, ie. changing oil when the light tells them and nothing more, I regularly see transmission failures before engines. Most LS equipped vehicles I have worked on over the years that end up having major repairs aren't engine related at all. I would have rather had and auto Camaro because I am lazy but I am absolutely not a fan of the L99 camshaft setup and the high possibility of cam failure and I am also not a fan of Auto transmission reliability (I'm the transmission tech) that I bought a MTX Camaro because of the LS3. I don't want to work on my own cars lol. Having said all that, I see 200k+ trucks regularly with no engine failure. I would speculate that 400K with good maintenance and a close eye on it, might be the upper limit of the engine life before it gets sluggish and just plain worn out.
Dont those trucks you see have the same trans as the auto camaro.......

i DD mine regardless of the weatherand i'm at 103,800 i've only ever done the normal maintenance oil changes etc. I would suggest trans flush if yours is an auto at 50k. Aside from some paint damage because these cars have a horribly soft clear coat nothings gone wrong with the car. I'd suggest a catch can and a cai to keep the engine clean and cool.

I know there are LS1 Vettes on the Corvette forums with literally 400-500K on the clock

Honestly a car lasting that long is some random luck and how good you are about staying up to date on your maintenance.

I'm sure if you take care of the beast it'll give you a long life of fun

One of my sales reps has a Trailblazer with 350K miles on it. All he has done is regular maintenance. He just had his first transmission hiccup a few months ago. Other than that it just keeps running.

All depends on how well you take care of it.

Only have 8.6k on my Camaro, but 367k on my '93 Toyota truck 22RE 4-cyl. Repalced the timing chain at 309k, blew a valve chunk at 316k due to water in gas, but is my daily driver and sings @70MPH down I-495 now. I'd expect the Camaro to be capable of the same. Am real good about maintenance but the Camaro doesn't seem to need nearly as much as the truck. Mercedes maintenance was ridiculous and that's why I went back to American cars. That and they were not as solid as they were in the 80's and early 90's.

Your Camaro should last a super long time if you keep up with the maintenance. And if you don't wreck it.

I'm used to my truck, which I changed oil in every 3,000-4,000 miles, 170,000 no problems. What were your choices for mileage change and oil selection for your camaros? Mine has 3,600 on the odometer now. 2,000 come from highway miles the past 2 weeks.

Yea the SBC family has a very long history of long term reliability

My grandfather had a 5.7 94 Silverado and it had 400,000 miles on it before he sold it. The automatic trans was just starting to let go, outside of that the truck ran like a tank, and he'd always brag about how good of a truck that Silverado was. My dad has a '92 Sierra with a big block 454 in it with 220,000 miles on it, and those miles were strictly work miles. The truck was never a DD, it was only used for work use and the only thing he's replaced was the clutch which is still technically a wear item. My cousin has an early 00's V8 Silverado with just over 300,000 miles on it, and once again it's his work truck when he drives around the country to audit homes for insurance. Not exactly the same kind of work my dads Sierra saw with hauling tires and other tractor trailer parts for his rig but still these cars will take care of you if you take care of them.

My family has a long history with the General lol, my dad sold our K5 Blazer when I was a kid with 200K on the clock and the only reason he was selling it was because the body was rusting away around it. Nothing was wrong with that Blazer

Damn you beat me by about 90,000 miles. I just cammed mine at 78k and am now at 103K. Feels like it's gonna last forever. I change oil at 3K. Stay away from banging off the rev limiter and change your lifters say every 100k of you don't beat on it for preventive maintenance.
