I highly doubt that. a bulletproof auto tranny can easily run in the $3 to $4K by itself which doesn't say anything about paying someone to install the thing.

That seems a bit high. I recall the auto only costing 1600 ish more than the manual when I ordered mine. The depreciation should be at the same rate between the two. If the mileage is comparable and the condition is similar than I feel 2000 would be the most I'd go. Both trans are super fun so you are at a win win either way. Just comes down to what type of driving feel you want.

I think id rather spend the $$ on upgrades rather than the auto..... my brother recently upgraded his 2012 Roush RS3 to 730 hp and I was looking at all my options to catch him on the dragstrip. I have 2 auto shops that can install any mods I want, just no dyno and wanted to get the most hp and lowest et's for under $3500 or so.

If I traded to an auto it would have to be a 2014 with the Recaro seats. But I would not take a $4K hit. I also thought about trading to an auto but I forced myself to become a better driver at the track and I have to admit it's much more rewarding and enjoyable now.

I cant imagine a dealer first off would trade for just $4k. I am thinking they would need closer to $7 -10K to make it worth their while.
