Great lookin' car.... BUT it is not numbers matching....
It does not have the original engine or transmission...
When it comes to "Classic Value" your buying a 396 but paying for a 454...
A 454 that seems to smoke a little when they drive off..........
So you might want to check the value.
$39,000 may be a little too much.
Check to see if the colors have been changed to red and black.
Is it a real SS car.
Also options, it looks like it has power steering - brakes and air.
These Classic Car Dealers are always asking $10,000 too much.
Please don't buy it sight unseen...........
It's still a great car and good luck...
If you love it thats all that matters.........
Remember;
There's nuthin' better than black,
but it's always dirty 10 minutes after you clean it ...

Also missing the air flapper door on the hood for the big block car. Non flapper hoods were on the small block cars if memory serves me correctly and the steering wheel is not 70s Chevelle it looks to be 80s SS Monte Carlo.

Who's doing the inspection ? I noticed an ACES sticker on the car, you should inquire here, lot's of good people and possibly connect with the guy that sold it to them.

The steering wheel is one of the first things to go. I am OK with the transmission and motor combo. I was actually planning on doing a 700-4R swap anyways.

I have been looking for about 2 years and this is the nicest car in the price range I have ever seen with everything I want.

Also, little help cause your link took me to a dead spot, what is ACES? Sorry maybe it's an American thing?

American Chevelle Enthusiasts Society (ACES) also many Canadian members, pretty sure I saw the sticker on the car.

I guarantee someone at that site knows the car, or the owner before southern.

Good !

Also, per your other thread, I did not have a chance this weekend to look at it either. Hopefully you have good results from the inspection.

Sorry to hear. My 70 was my favorite car and I'm always on the lookout for another. I found mine recently, it's been restored and the guy wouldn't sell it. I never should have sold it. Good luck with finding another, better 70!

A 69 was at the Electric Car Auction this weekend in Penticton. If it did not sell they are still taking offers. Green numbers matching.
