2011 2SS Fog lights
Just picked my car up yesterday and noticed that I don't have a button to turn on the fog lights. The manuel says that it's a push button on the exterior light controls, but it's not there! Any other 2011 2SS owners have this problem?

Same as a 2010... you DO NOT have fog lights. You have daytime running lights. This is because you have the RS package.

The fact there are alot of people confused about this shows an area GM needs to improve on....... Fog lights should be standard on al LS and LT models. The DRLs should have been the amber turn signal indicators inside the front grille (just like the DRLs for the 1998-2002 Camaros were the amber turn signals in the front bumper).

Please stop hating on the haters. Oh wait, now I'm caught in the vicious circle.
Let's all help our fellow owners. We all know by now that many of the same questions are posted over and over again. Let's be nice and help or refer. Using "search" here is kind of like reading the owners manual. Some do, some don't. Welcome to the site labago and enjoy your new Camaro. Have you posted pics yet? Be sure to post them in the right area. Don't give those haters another chance!

I agree, the manual isnt so clear and you cant blame the owner. Who would have ever thought they would do something so foolish?
My dealer didnt even know, I tried to get them on as I was driving away and he had no idea. after reading the manual and scratching his head he called someone else on the phone who knew. Ive priced out all the parts to change over just need to talk to someone who knows the wiring and body well enough to tell me if the bcm has to be reprogrammed and if there are seperate plugs in the harness for the fogs. |

I wasn't hating on anyone except for maybe GM's engineers
99% of the rest of the cars on planet earth have fog lights in the front bumper. If you don't get the RS package, you have fog lights in the front bumper. If you get the RS package you have lights that look like fog lights in the front bumper. It's confusing GM. Especially to those people who may not be car enthusiasts or electronics wizzards. Yeah, I see GM's point of being different or maybe they felt with the HIDs there's no need for fogs. So then they need to specify that CLEARLY by instructing their salespeople to point that out to anyone buying an RS-equipped Camaro. Or, better yet, just make the fogs standard and put the DRLs in the grille. |

Thanks for the show of support fellow forum participants! Oh trust me I read most of the manuel and didn't see anything specific about no fog lights with the RS package, now I may have missed it but if I did they have it burried somewhere in that book where it doesn't belong. I'm new to this site and a first time Camaro owner and I was just pleased to have my question answered so quickly. Holy crap I'm having fun driving my car, can't wait to complete the break-in period so I can push some higher RPM's!! It sounds so sweet when I get on it a bit! I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and do it again!! No pics...... yet!
