This fest was costly for me---
This Camaro fest happen to fall on my birthday Aug 6. What a day. On the drive up from Texas stopped at a local gas station for grub and gas. Realized 2 min after getting up from eating at subway left phone behind. Someone with quick hands stole and turned off my phone immediately so unable to track. I called several times and asked around with no luck. Luckily ATT was able to have another phone waiting in Bowling Green only $450 ughhhhh
It gets better While traveling through Tennessee (god awful roads) I manage to crack both front rims. The passenger side not so bad, but drivers side leaking air while driving. Had to fill up every couple of hours just to maintain pressure. Luckily Bestwheeldeals.com out of Florida came through. Current setup is the RC-5 Rhoanna ordered through Bestwheeldeal several years back. Unfortunately the RC-5 is no longer made and the damage wheels unrepairable!! Just my luck. Unable to drive home on damage rims Bestwheeldeals helped me out. They were able to overnight a setup of the Z28 wheels at a discounted rate to Discount Tire in Bowling Green!! Unfortunately only able to get two front wheels shipped out in 20x10 due to 20x11 for the rear on backorder. The 20x11 rears should arrive in about 3 weeks. I was hesitant the Z28 rims wouldn't look good with my current setup, however happy surprised. I will miss my old setup, but the Z28 is looking steller. Thanks again to Bestwheeldeals and Discount Tire for getting me in so quickly!! |

Busted coilover for me too. On the drag strip with wheel hop. But it was the seals so I could still bounce my way home. hahahaha

When I left home I said " I don't care what it costs, I am going to have fun and not think about the $$$. I am so glad I did, what a blast !! Sometimes you just have to put yourself out there.

I say go big or go home at fest time! I was looking over the car today and turns out the trans cooler is leaking on the garage floor!!! Told the wife good thing we made it home without blowing the trans!! Her reaction was one of stone faced not happy.... But I will say this, I have never beat on a car more then this Fest! Between NCM track and drag racing, oh and the 5 hour drive home. I'll take a leak. Kinda smells like more upgrades to me. Hence the stone wall from the wife.

OP sorry for your troubles but glad you were able to work it out. Hope you had a fun birthday anyway. My birthday was Sunday after the Fest so it was my birthday party too!

I'm sorry to hear that! Yea, I have nice mark in my hood where I tried to do some Duke's of Hazzard moves. My Drake Strut Tower Covers make a nice crease on my hood. Seems when we were in Tennessee, the connections/transitions from the road to the bridge were not smooth like they are here in Texas. Found that out the hardway, plus it didn't help we were "spirited driving"...
