So who here owns an older Camaro and hasn't had the heater core take a dump?
Just looking for a general idea...
My 2010 Camaro has had pretty much every known damn problem the Camaro's have had. Rear cover leak, rear main seal leak, oil cooler leak, oil pan leak, baffles in stock exhaust, speakers gone out.. It's in the shop right now trying to diagnose a hissing sound I'm getting from the core area, Dealer thinks it's trapped air in the coolant making it's way around the pipes. I've just dumped over $2700.00 into this piece of sh!t car, excuse my language but it's a 2010 with 20,000 miles on it and it's just costing me $$$$$$ So, because of all the problems I'm having, I'm just waiting for the heater core to fail, which I feel like is going to be soon considering my luck. I only drive the car in the summer, so I'm debating on just bypassing the damn thing to begin with. So... Ladies & Gents, how many of you still have a 2010-2014 Camaro with higher mileage and the heater core hasn't failed? |

Sorry to hear you've had so many issues. Mines a 2013 with a little over 32k miles; haven't had any of the issues you've had, or any issues for that matter (knock on wood) and heater works great.

Thanks man, I'm so close to trading it in, but I really don't want too, it's been my dream car forever and I finally bought it. I'm trying so hard to keep it, but damn she's making it difficult. I'm glad you're car has been keeping you happy, and hasn't been giving you problems! |

As someone that works in a field with manufacturing and engineering, it is never a good idea to buy the "first" of something

None on my 2010. Don't believe everything you read. All cars have issues....some more than others. Then there are lemons. It happens. Sorry that you got one if the lemons.

I'm just debating on whether or not I should bypass the heater core, or just roll the dice and hope it doesn't go. It's really depressing man, the car has been driving me nuts the last couple of weeks.

I think "plagued" is an impression you get from being on the forums. Most folks share problems more passionately than successes. Makes what are actually rare issues seem to occur with more frequency than they actually do.
