l lost a set of keys (or had them stolen) and was thinking of re-keying my car. I wouldn't mind the recall so much if it didn't look like we had an unfinished FOB.

Heck I'd take a modified version of this corvette fob:

Yeah, I could go for that corvette fob, and least it looks purpose built. Why couldn't Chevrolet just give us those instead of an embarrassing broken switchblade "FIX"?

they the dealership and G.M. have really bugging about the recall to me I do not want to do it!

I called that recall number and snapped!!! I told them I'm sick of getting these dame recalls in the mail and the emails .. They told me its to save there asses !! Love GM but they really dropped the ball with these cars !! When you have 20k Kia's that come with push button starts and these don't there's a huge problem !!!

Meh, it is a retro styled Muscle car, I'd be annoyed with a push button start. I like turning the key. Never have understood the fascination with such a feature.

You'd understand if you ever had one. It's awesome. Never have to take the fob out of your pocket to unlock or lock the doors, open the trunk, or start the engine. I absolutely love it on our Maxima.

Maybe it will get recalled to clean the lint out. Or maybe all the dirt and dust will cause a major melt down

I think that would be the best reasonable upgrade to solve "the problem"
