Drive train warranty remaining

When buying a multi-owner used Camaro, is there a way to look up how much time remains on the drivetrain warranty? Such as using the VIN maybe?
Thanks.

take the VIN to the Chevy service desk at the dealer, they can tell you in 2 minutes everything you need to know.

I think the VIN number will only tell you when it was built, not when it was actually sold. The day it's sold is the day the monthly part of the warranty starts, but the milage part starts when that odometer turns over that 1st mile. In the case of the Camaro, it's 60/100000. Running a CarFax report should tell you when and to whom that vehicle was first sold.

The service desk can tell you the complete history on the car ... when it was first sold and all work performed at dealers, along with remaining warranty if any.

Both start on the day it is first sold. Take the VIN to the dealer and they will look up the "in service" date and mileage. You have 5 years (I think but could be 6) and 100,000 miles from this point. It is not 100,000 miles from the time it rolls of the factory floor, this means the car could end up having the warranty until 100,030 miles. Also remember that this is just the powertrain warranty, many seem to confuse the powertrain warranty with the bumper to bumper warranty which is only 3/36.

Ok thanks, everyone.
I'm looking at a 2010 that was bought just last year from the dealership. The dealership put 3500 on the car being driven by a sales manager and using to "show" it.
It's a great price but the seller knew he got a little different general and drivetrain warranty but wasn't sure exactly.
