Texas Speed's First 2010 SS Hits The Dyno! = 372.9rwhp / 372.81tq

After years & years we're so glad to finally have made it to this point! The Camaro is back!!!

Here's a dyno sheet & pic of our first 2010 SS on the dyno. It'll probably be a few more weeks before our second car gets here, but for now we'll focus all our attention on this one!!

What happens after 5800rpm? Isn't redline close to 6,800rpm?

Engines don't produce peak hp at redline. Redline is 6600.

We were very pleased with the results considering the car had 390 miles on it at the time of dynoing. We're working very hard on new products for this car, so stay tuned! Everyone is going to be VERY pleased with the results. Hopefully our other black SS will arrive shortly. The other car will have the RS package and gray stripes.

I picked the car up and made the 370-mile drive home with it, and it is a HUGE step up over the 4th-gen car. Everyone expected it to be better; that's natural progression. But, GM really did their homework. The enthusiasm surrounding this car is astounding! I had more people wave, flash their lights, and slow down to take pictures! The car has a great feel to it. It's definitely exciting to see the Camaro back in full force. I remember what it was like when I bought my '98 Trans Am, and it's like that all over again. The only difference this time is that we'll be at 400+ RWHP with bolt-ons and 500 RWHP with heads/cam packages!

We're going to be updating everyone regularly on the progress of new products, so keep an eye on the forums!

Texas speed is always the best , good numbers dude .

Could anyone tell me why they made the camaro red line at 6600 rpm while it produce more HP's at 6000 rpm , i saw many stock dyno charts for the LS3 and they were all losing HP's above 6000 rpm .

I think most of those who've got there camaros' into the drag strip shift at 6600 ! or what ?

I think it's a good thing it's a couple hundred rpm above optimum shift points. This way if you powershift you wont be runnig into the rev limiter.
