I am very happy with my stock exhaust, high flow cats, and headers. 7K miles on it and no issues with stock exhaust. Pleasant when driving normal, but turns some heads when on it.

Look into the Solo Mach XL system. It isn't quiet but it is drone free even with headers which for most people is the biggest concern. I've heard this system on a few cars with headers and thought it sounded amazing. It might be loud for some but just about anything short of the factory system will get somewhat aggressive with headers. It should be a good deal quieter then your Retro Chambered SW system and again....drone free.

Guys, if you are having a drone problem with any exhaust system the only way to rid yourself of the problem is add J-PIPES. You can do this with a few systems that are equipped with or just go to your local exhaust shop and get them to build and add J-PIPES to the system you have. I did and it worked. PM me if you have questions.

I have LT headers with no cats. I have a one off corsa with the L99 xpipe and the touring mufflers, nice sound at idle and sounds like the world's coming to an end but no drone at cruising speeds. out of three exhaust systems I've had on the car this is the best buy far for being quiet.

It has slight drone at highway cruising but you have to turn the radio all the way off to hear it and it didnt do that until after the cam. You cant use the stock catback because the cam will destroy it. Only other catback that I can think of that you might look into is the Dynomax VT but I always worried about the valves not working. Corsa is not going to drone but it will be loud. Even the L99 Corsa system will be louder than the Magnaflow street. I honestly cant think of a quieter system.
Wait what?? Why would the factory catback get destroyed by a cam?

It has happened to more than 1 Camaro5 member on here and I remember reading about it. I dont know why exactly it happened but do know it was after the cam that their muffler internals came apart. Seemed strange to me as well because alot of members are still rocking the stock cans with a cam. Maybe its just 1 of those things that can't be explained, IDK.

Supercharged, long tubes, no cats and my magnaflow VT is dead quiet at cruise. It is an awesome exhaust.

When I had my cammed SS I ran Dynomax LTs, with hi-flo cats, and a GMPP "street" exhaust, and the car was fairly quiet under part throttle, yet sounded great under hard throttle, no drone.

I've posted that point a couple of times. My stock mufflers started rattling especially on slow take offs in first gear about a thousand miles after my cam/bolt-on install. Sounded like the baffles in the left one broke loose. I did not cut it open to verify. Just switched to ARH's Pure Thunder mufflers to match the rest of my ARH exhaust. A fellow forum member predicted the problem because it happened to him too.

I wouldn't go as far as to say it happens to everyone. I liked the stock mufflers just fine until they started rattling. You could hear the cam well at idle - it was quiet when cruising - no drone and it wailed at WOT.

If you still have your stock mufflers when you put a cam in - I'd say give it a try. You can always switch later.

I got a cam, headers, HF cats as well. I chose to go with the factory cat back because its quiet, but installed noweeds diverters for when I want to be loud and hear the chop of the cam clearly. When the exhaust is running through the cat back, its just as quiet as a stock car on the inside, and only a little louder from the outside. If you still have the factory exhaust on, I'd do what SSdan said and just give it a try. You can always change that later easily.

My car came with one and I freaking love it.
I have the fuse pulled and it's loud, but it's factory so no ticket issues.

When I use the fuse, it's pretty quiet until you get on it.

Sounds better than anything else out there.
