more detail of trailer hitch

hope this helps hammer, i too got the idea from some Porche guys i track with
i modified a "hidden hitch" brand hitch. i used the existing front mount, cut just behind it and made an offset to raise the bar to hug the bottom of the trunk. i also used the rear mount as it was, but ran the bar above it and again added a spacer to provide the correct offset. to add some stability, i added an angle bracket that bolts to the rear crash bar
my car is not lowered, so the flat bar is welded to the bottom of the square bar for the 1 7/8" ball. this sets it up so that the front of the trailer is just slightly higher than the rear.

Just read through your whole build thread, and love everything that you have done and appreciate the documentation you have accomplished and will be using some pointers from your build to further mine. THANKS

Great build. Do you have a pic with the hitch from the rear?

Dummy Seat Belt

I was concerned about the airbag deployment when using the harnesses. I ended up getting seat belt extenders from GM and cutting the male ends off (thx to MRBZ28 for the suggestion). discussion here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=459415

GM mistakenly sent me one rear seat extender, they quickly sent the correct one out & now all good.
