Lol sorry I was thinking in terms of total costs including gas; that's what I get for being dog tired and trying to post a message lol. It would have been over 4,000 miles driving round trip. That would be about 10 hours a day of driving to cover almost 700 miles a day for 3 days to get there, drive around at the event, then turn around and do the same thing for 3 days to get home. With gas, food, lodging, etc. I roughly estimated it would cost about $2000.

Vegas is about 10 hours from San Francisco if you want to break a few speed limits. Texas is over 25 hours each way (28-30). Can't please everybody all the time...
I'm hard pressed to think attendance will drop if it's on the western side of the states as we have almost half as many people attending a regional meet. |

As long as it's on the east coast, it's good with me!

Laguna is awesome , but can you imagine how many Camaros would be running into each other , maybe if you have everyone sign waivers , but don't think their insurance companies would be to thrilled about a claim put in for an accident on the Laguna Seca track

Infineon is the ideal set up for an event like this imo. They have a drag strip, a full road course, lots of parking etc. Laguna has the corkscrew, a HUGE paddock area for autox and vendor tents, but I don't remember there being a drag strip there...

I don't expect a huge event in Montana anytime soon, but I'd sure like to be able to make one of these events some day. I could get to Vegas in one day, so I vote for that!
