GPI does great work and definitely worth the drive! I drove it up, dropped it off and flew back. When it was ready, I flew up and drove her home. It was that easy.

Give the guys a call. After talking with them I very nearly made the trip all the way from NY - just bad timing with the winter and the car in storage up here so I ended up just having the parts sent to me.

We had a little shipping "issue" that was in no way their fault, and they instantly went to work to make it right. Lots of phone calls and e-mails back and forth, and they always were quick to respond with lots of great information.

There customer service is unmatched as far as I've ever experienced, and their products speak for themselves. Go have a look at the stock bottom end fast list and you'll find something like 70% of the cars have GPI cams and heads. That's not a coincidence.

I did drive from San Antonio and would do it again if I needed something done.

More Power Coming

My car is back down at GPI now to get a 416 built and a new clutch. We are also bumping the compression a little more, I think 12.5 to 13.1. Should make some more power again, and hopefully a big gain in torque. I will keep this post updated as soon as I get results.

Would you recommend this setup for a TT car? Of course with the cam being made for it.

How do the worked over Frankenstein LS3 heads compare with the small bore LS7 heads, I understand the Frankenstein heads flow about the same as the factory LS7 heads...is this correct? I'm running a LLSR 235/244/114 cam with Jesel shaft mounted rockers for stability and a Circle D 3600 stall...crap desert heat/altitude and 91 octane...is there a ballpark comparison than can be made? My interest is piqued. Stage 2 is stroke.

Our ported ls3 heads outperformed the Franks on an engine dyno test. The ls7s move a lot more air.

Interesting thing is peak flow doesn’t mean a lot. Look at the lower lift flow numbers. .300/.400 numbers are crucial.

This is so true! How long does the valve stay open at .650? How long is it open at .35 to .65? This is where power is made! But please sell me a head that flows at .800 lol

Newbie

I hope I am doing right, this is my first post.

I just want to tell the World how pleased I am with the Max Package from GPI I installed in my LS3 2012 Camaro.

My car now pulls like a freight train, sounds like a beast and turns heads everywhere I go. Every time I go for a cruise, people compliment on how the car sounds.

I haven't put it on a Dyno yet, but I am sure that the numbers that GPI posted will be the same. (maybe better)

After installation, my mechanic took the car the drag strip. His 1/4 mile time wasn't impressive, but I don't think the poor time was the cars inability, but a just someone who isn't used to the car.

Here are his times, and tell me what you guys think.
60'.............2.41 seconds.
1/4 mile......13.0 seconds @ 114 MPH

He said the spun right out of the hole and spun into second. He also said that he shifted at 6700-6800 rpm's to take it easy. Let me say that the rev-limiter is set at 7400 and that is where the magic is.

I'm embarrassed with the ET, but I am pleased with the trap speed. I know that the next time the car sees the drag stripe, I will be at the helm and drop the ET time and raise the trap. I'll post that when it happens.

Thanks for reading.
