Yeah one thing Ford does right is warranty their parts. Basically anything buy from them and let them install is covered under warranty. Chevy really dropped the ball on that aspect. They would make a boat load of money if they would warranty their performance parts. There would be a great incentive to buy from the dealer.

Its in my opinion that the 1LEs in particular should have come with this upgrade as standard. Put it more in line with the BOSS. Well rather beat the SHIT out of it.

The parts for which you speak are usually warranted by Ford Racing. Ford Racing, while part of the overall Ford brand, is not the same Ford corporation that warranties a stock Mustang. So, if you buy a Ford Racing Supercharger and have it installed by an authorized dealer, Ford Racing will have a warranty on that particular part and probably associated parts (such as the engine) . . . but only as specifically listed and only for the time listed (usually 36 months/36k miles). But, Ford Motor Company is not going to pay for your differential if it blows out 5k miles later, and you certainly lose the longterm powertrain warranty from Ford Motor Company. In other words, you replace a 'bumper to bumper' warranty and a long term powertrain warranty that came with the car with a more restrictive warranty with very particular parameters, restrictive time/milage parameters, and only explicitely listed parts. |

This kit will also work on a 6.0L. But not a 5.7L.

Good info I didn't know that. It still helps to have some sort of warranty backing with the upgrades granted it isn't what I initially thought.

Warranty is always nice.
I made 95 rwhp with just a cam, long tubes, and a tune on my 05 GTO. The cam was from FTI. http://flowtechinduction.com/ Usually you'll make significantly more RWHP with a cam upgrade vs. heads. |
