I will be trading my '02 Monte Carlo SS on the Camaro, most of you are probably wondering what the big deal is, but that car is VERY special to me. Its a Dale Earnhardt Signature Edition(#2632, to be exact), of which they only made 3,333, when we bought it in Febuary of '02 I couldn't imagine getting rid of it in the next 30 years, let alone before the first ten were up.

Anyway, GM, THIS BETTER BE ONE HE!! OF A CAR, or I will be ROYALLY pissed off, I may even jump ship to F@*d or D@d$#!!

I will probably be coming over to the other side.

My father has a C6 Z06, so we can now be LS buddies at last.

I applied at all 3 new chevy dealerships in my area, (job number 3... I just graduated so who needs free time?) hoping to both make MORE monies and get employee pricing.

I work at a chevy dealership down here in Houston. I too will be driving the new Camaro. They might hold me back from employee pricing until we can stock up..because the way GM does it....they will trickle in for while.
Hopefully I wont have to trade my Shelby and I can manage 2 car payments.:(
I just cant let a Shelby go when the man is 85 and about to bite the big one....this is my investment car.

I cannot wait to get this Camaro, I have wanted one since I was 15 and had a learners permit, now I'm 24 and able to afford a nice car like this :-).

As far as what I have to sacrifice, I am being awarded a stay bonus from where I work, $13k, my savings will roughly be $7k at time of ordering (I want to convertible, fully loaded, so I have a little time). So I am going to blow $20k or more for the down payment - I will most likely sell my motorcycle (06 ZX6R) and stop going out all of the time (beer & food cost a lot )

The good thing is I get GM Employee Discount so with my down payment I should have relatively nice payments.

Sacrifices now - well, every extra penny I have is going against credit cards - I am going to kill that debt this year so I don't have any when I get the camaro. I am not buying much in the way of food (I still need to cut down on going out ).

In the meantime I am also putting my wife through nursing school, but to have this Camaro when it first comes out - the car I have always wanted, everything will be worth it - even if I end up trading in my Colorado on it as well

No vacations last year or this year or even the beginning of next year is one of my sacrifices.

The other is the new place I'm going to be buying after the summer is over, I have to downgrade what I originally wanted (ex. double car garage, extra bedroom, etc) so that I can have enough money for my Camaro.

I haven't been going out drinking alot, saving all my money, my friends all say the same thing... wow, you really want this car don't you? I tell them, it's my #1 goal in my life, it's all I really thing about. It's hard so very hard to not spend money but that's why it's called... SACRIFICING.

The prize is so worth it. Come on 2009 !

No sacrifice here, I've got the twenty grand I was planning on for the down payment saved up and anything over that'll be extra icing. I've gotta tell ya, I've never felt this way about a car even when I bought my first "new" car the 89 Mustang 5.0, I never felt this excited? about a car before. I just want 09 to hurry the (blank) up and get here already.

ORGAN FOR SALE!

Well first off my 1996 Super Sport Chevy Impala is for sale...I love my car like crazy but its time for me to get a whiff of that new car smell...that and my savings account will put me anywhere between 10 to 15 grand which will go to my down payment...which should give me a reasonable payment on the super sport camaro...I've also heard rumors of being able to sell an organ..and i think i'd do it!! LOL!!!

My problem is I have been playing too much. Going out, vacations, new TV, video games, and just buying alot of random crap that adds up fast...

Ill bet i could spend $600 less a month if I just found cheaper entertainment

I get payed monthly, and just got payed today. So starting today I'm making $500 payments to my new camaro. That way I get used to that money not being there, and I will have that much extra to put down when the time comes... thats the plan anyway.

I am giving up my plan to buy a 2009 C6. I love the vette but the Camaro has a special place in my heart and because it has a back seat it will be a little more practical.
