No Spy Shots. What's this mean? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I like to speculate as much as possible, so I was pondering what we might be able to get from the fact that we haven't seen many Spy Shots or videos lately. Possibly they have concluded with the road tests? Possibly GM is getting ready to start making an actual "Production model"? Maybe it's nowhere close to these, and no one happens to have their cameras ready? Or could it be they are testing it in disclosed places so we can't get a peek?

Anyone thinking along these lines? Or have any other ideas?

I think GM is predominantly done with their testing phase. Now they have to incorporate what they learned into the final design and of course finalize those darn headlights!

It means were got freaking spoiled by an unusual flood of photographs and now "normal" doesn't seem so normal anymore.

It means they are allowing "spy shots" to be "leaked out" in a timely manner. GM is trying to keep us interested until March. So far so good, but it's time for some fresh stuff GM. Thanks!

I agree with all the posted comments so far....we have gotten spoiled! However, I do believe something is coming, probably the production version. Its less than a year till game time and I wouldn't be suprised if there were some production spec vehicles out testing before the "chosen 12" get a final look at it...was that meeting slated for late May btw? If it was then we should be seeing production stuff.

I figured we all had our own ideas. I think all of them are good guesses too. Especially the suburbans. lol But Hopefully they are working on a production model and we will soon be seeing and hearing about the actual production model. I need something to make sure I don't get too impatient and go get a G8.

I think that you guys that are saying they are done with the road tests are probably right... our spy shots ended around the same time they moved a few of the cars to Germany for the track tests. i see them starting to build the final production model, finishing up the interior, and doing more ring testing so the car is ready for it's reveal in September!!!

I don't think we're going to get any professional spy shots anymore. Only insiders will see the car and show us what's going on. The Camaro is very close to production. They're probably working on details now, like a complete list of GMPP options, interior cloth and leather options, colors, and appearance packages similar to the ones in the accessories thread.

Magazine's are capitalizing on the no screenshots. They're publishing more bs every day about the LS2...

Okay, I know its been confirmed that this won't happen, but how funny would it be if we did see an LS2 after months of attacking every magazine or member who mentions it? hahaha

not finished with Road Tests -- and it could be argued that we never finish road tests -- as we are constantly working on the 'next model year' or "mid-cycle" or "next Gen" -- (don't jump to conclusions on all of that....)

We still have quite a few miles to put on the cars --

I'd rock it. The LS2 is a great engine, and it will definitely provide me the power I want so long as they can make it work with AFM and E85. Fuel is very important to me as a buyer.
