Long Story....There was a snafu about the whole ballot thing, the flyer stated there would be a best club award, however, the was no box on the registration card to list your club. We wrote NEC5 in anyway, and when we asked why it wasn't on the registration card, we were told "I don't think they are doing that this year"

Fast forward to awards time, they called the Corvair club to accept the award.

I took a quick count, and I think we were outnumbered by 5 or so.

We WILL straighten this out early this time.

edit: I posted this years flyer on post #4, it does list a "Best Club Trophy"

The fort adams show is really a show for all the mucky mucks who want to show off their old MGs and such......I hope they let us enter our club......but don't be surprised if we can't. Its the same thing with the glen show if it isn't antique there is a little bit of bias.......

Maybe in past years...It was no problem letting us into the show last year, there were plenty of newer age cars & American muscle. It was a good mix similar to the RICOA show.

My only complaint was the fact that the entry forms didn't privide a place to list your club.

I do believe it was an honest error, and as I posted earlier, the Corvair's did seem to have us beat slightly.

I'm not arguing we can't get INTO the show.....I'm just saying don't expect us to get our club registered for an award.

There are just too much local politics involved for something like that to happen.

I think we should try......just don't get surprised if you get a BS answer for why we can't.

Either way I'll be there an look forward to seeing you all again and enjoying the show
