Meguiar's NXT = two thumbs up....
I am working on mine by claying first with Meguiar's Gold clay, then Meguiar's deep paint clean and finally with Meguiar's NXT - it slow so I do a fender or so at time... But the results are worth it...

You only need one module to run left and right, and mine is wired as below
'To hook up the DRL-1 module as a side marker controller, connect the wires as follows: Yellow: Tap into parking lamp feed wire Green: To ground Blue: Not used Red: Tap into right front turn signal feed wire Brown: To lamp end of cut right front side marker feed wire Pink: Tap into left front turn signal feed wire Violet: To lamp end of cut left front side marker feed wire White: Not used |

Things in there were not as I expected, and not wanting to short anything out and risk damaging the BCM, I decide to get an auto electrical specialist here in the UK who was familiar with Camaro wiring to install the module, which he did in around 35 minutes. For anyone in the UK, I can recommend this guy. He imports and does all the IVA conversions, really knows his stuff, and had a yard full of imports including a very new looking Corvette C7still on US plates. Check him out here, http://www.sigmaautomotive.co.uk/new/home.shtml# |

It appears from the video that the sidemarker came on when the halo came on. Did you turn the dash control knob from Auto to the Parking Lamp setting to make the halos come on? Is it correct that the front sidemarkers will come on whenever the halos are on which is the way I think it's wired to work.
Reason I ask is that I have the Gen5diy Always-on Halo harness to have my Halos on during the day as well as at night. So if I install the DRL-1 harness then I should expect my front sidemarkers to be on during the day also. Not particularly desirable but I can live with it. |

I assume your harness adds the Halo's to the daytime DRL's? If you want the front side markers on only at night you will need to tap into the rear parking lamps circuit so they only come on with the tail lights? Guess it means just running the one wire from the module to the rear parking lamp circuit To be safe I'd contact a decent auto electrical guy as you don't want to damage the BCM if you short something out? Cheers, J |
