Killer time, daaaaamn. I am so freakin happy to see Ford, Dodge and now Chevy with brand new factory hot rods back in the NHRA sportman classes. Now lets see how much more HP the engine builders can get out of the Copo's skirting the on the egde of the rule book. These are gonna fast hot rods indeed.

Automatic Vs Manual
Great drag times are being set with automatics.
Automatic vs manual: If you like to row get a manual, if you want to go fast get an automatic. Note to GM: Replace the L99 engine in SS Camaro automatics with an LS3 or better. I want an automatic but I'm not buying a Camaro with an L99. |

5.3 iron block truck motor=327. dished pistons already in them for anyone wanting to duplicate it....add a take out Z06 cam (LS6 C5 ZO6) and add some boost and these motors are freaking unreal.
As far as the trans, it is an ATI glide.....in all the drag racing we do I only know of 3 racers out of thousands running manual trans in stock or super stock....and thay are amazing, but near impossible to race competively with a manual. |
