Need some help
Hi everyone.
I just traded in my BMW128i for a 2010 white camaro ss with 29k miles and wow is it awesome. I am a changed man now. It has two previous owners so it's difficult to know everything that was done to it but the dealer said it had a muffler delete done to it as well as a K&N CAI. It sounds amazing but I want more. *I'm moving from Jax NAS area to Fernandina beach, FL and was wondering if anyone else is in that area. I'm also looking for a trustworthy tuner that is to notch... I've had my fill of bad tuners and want someone that is going to get the job done right the first time and is fair in pricing. I'm so happy with this car it is truly amazing.* Side note... The car is acting weird to me. The AMF is constantly turning on and off and not only does the sound get but my MPG seems to be affected. I'm not buying this car for its MPG but I also don't want to waste it. I get 17MPG flat highway @ 65 mph. Last edited by Comfy vroom; 11-18-2013 at 01:55 AM. |

Congrats on the upgrade!
My SS is an M6, so I don't have AFM, but my MPG is mid-20's when traveling @ 65 mph in 6th gear. Your MPG sounds a bit low. |

I mean I hear of people getting 25 or greater with the SS. I just want my new baby running perfect before I start adding parts.
Also, I asked if the previous own had it tuned and the answer was no. I will get it tunred but I was thinking of waiting as long as I can for money sake. I figure I would need a tune after headers, then againg after new cam, then againg after new gears. This will be a cruiser that want to sound amazing and put me in my seat when I ask it too. |

Ty. I'm hoping to get some responses to my question and concerns in the first few post.

Congrats on the SS! Looks great! I'm sure some L99 guys will chime in soon about your issue. I've heard guys say that the AFM makes weird noises with any kind of exhaust modification, so I'm assuming that's normal for yours. But I don't know about your MPG's.

Headers, cams, gears, or l99 to ls3 conversion first. Also it seems the parts list in the forums are missing a few manufacturers.
