I knew they sold lots of things, but I didn't know they sold cars. Do a lot of people buy cars at costco?

yup they do have everything. I personally don't know anyone that has bought a car at costco but hey someone has had to if not they wouldn't have it. My dad has bought tires from them though. they did a good job installing them.

Costco does sell cars, heck they sell grandfather clocks and even caskets (no kidding), along with Costco "Craft beers" which can be conveniently found between the snow tires and mattresses...

Costco does sell cars. But, around here, you just go to the dealer and say you want to do a 'Costco' deal. You have to show your membership card, and you get pricing similar to employee pricing on GM cars.
I live not far from Costco HQ and know a lot of folks who work there. A lot of their inventory is seasonal-- for example, they'll buy a zillion BBQ's, but once they're gone, they're gone...usually enough inventory to make it through a spring/summer season. Lots of occasional and one-off stuff as well. Costco, as a whole, caters to an affluent set of customers, so their stuff is pretty high quality. I've always loved their food court, though....$1.50 for a hotdog combo or a (huge!) slice of pizza. |

Love Costco, I booked my last vacation through them and the price was unbeatable.

Can really save big $$$$$
I understand that you can order almost an car, even hard to find ones that dealers are asking over MSRP. With the Costco price, they can be bought for under MSRP and the dealer has to honor the price or be dropped from the program. This is just what I heard, I have no personal experience with it.

I'm thinking about getting a costco card just for the gas. A whole 7 cents less than anywhere else for premium.
