Going with a fuel cell
Alright so on pulling the fuel tank and all the fuel related items off the car. Going to take some measurements to see what needs done to fit a 10-12 gallon fuel cell in the trunk.
Im ditching the crappy walbro twin 450s and going with a Holley 12-1800 pump.

Interested in seeing how it goes. What do you plan to do to keep your fuel gauge working?

Fuel cells have 0-90 ohm fuel level sensors.

The tank was a bitch to get out!
Also what's this sensor for? Bolted to the side of the tank.

I believe that is the fuel pressure sensor.

I was looking at some of the Jegs tanks. Not sure how well that will work with my Holley pump.

To think that there used to be guys that would just cut a simple access under the rear seat for easy swaps of the fuel pump..... instead of go through a PITA. Yes this is interesting as the tank for one should be a problem of relocating the battery also as the trunk is not a good old chevy trunk. And IMO the tank would be best where a battery is currently sitting and well also the new tank would be more vulnerable to damage in a rear end collision IMO but hey a drag car is a evolution and a expensive one. Good luck.

I had a hole under the rear seat for pump swap.
The Holley inline pump is rated for 1800hp and cost $400 I've been running twin walbro 450s but I've had 2 failures already.

OK so on this fuel cell. How do I properly vent the tank and still be within the guidelines of the NHRA?

You need to talk to professionals that are very experienced in the performance of a engine and I would go talk to my tuner Tommy Wong of wongs performance engineering if I had your trouble....good luck.
