Hell, if she can get a Mustang for $14k then she'd be a damn fool for buying a comparable Camaro that would have cost well over $10,000 more (assuming she isn't really wealthy, and most radio DJ's aren't). You can make the argument that one car is better than the other but all that goes right out the window when you attach a 5-figure discount.

i find it funny you guys are saying mustangs are for girls when the 2011's have been tearing up the tracks and hitting the 10's with bolt ons and slicks.

i have been an avid camaro fan for years, however when i sat in the 5th gen camaro to see how i feel, i couldn't stand it. does the camaro look sexy? hands down, yes. is it fast as hell? yes. does it have a crap ton of torque? YES!! dear god yes! is it functional for me as a daily driver? no. the c pillars are just too wide when dealing with traffic and lane changes. i arranged the seat to my proper seating position, the way i'd drive the car, and knocked my head on the pillar time and time again getting in the car normally. i had to lurch forward to avoid getting a concussion. i'm only 5'10, shouldn't be hard to fit into a car.

but that's my opinion. i'd rather have a 69 camaro SS sitting in my garage, but that'd cost me an arm and a leg, so a good middle point for me a 2011 5.0. as long as it's american, i'll drive it. except for my current beater...hate that crapolla.

She said that the Camaro looks too much like one of those "kit" cars and the style will wear off like a fad.

Hmmmmmm seems to me like she is just trying to come up with reasons to justify her Ford Mustake purchase.
She told me that it has that onboard computer thingy that she can ask it questions or whatever, hell I dont know what it was she was talking about but I just told her I can get all that computer crap on something like an Ipod or something like that, why would I want it integrated in my car?
Blind spot? hmmmm well doesn't the ford have a blind spot?
Rough ride? I really dont think she really took it for a test drive.
Kit car? Well like I told her....... just put that car next to a Mustang and then try honestly telling me just which one stands out more? Ya!......that's waht I thought.
She did get a nice deal and I cannot blame her for getting it, it is her third Mustang in five years and she is used to them, she got it for $14000(she is a radio station DJ for a popular station in the city she lives in, and heck to be honest with you I would jump on a Mustang for $14000 as well)
I think what it really all boils down to is that in order for her to have gotten such a good deal on the Mustang she cannot say anything against it and so I just chalk it all up to publicity and advertising.....she cannot help it.
She got a nice one with one of those glass roofs and what not so I cannot blame her. I am planning on moving to the same city she lives and when I pull up and park next to her in my future SS she had better not say ANYTHING because I will be the first and only one in my family that will have a Camaro.
I might let her try drive it but then I hope she can get past all the plastic.
cause dady's little girl's get mustangs at 16, while men get camaros as a dream car

If a camaro is your dream car, you should probably dream bigger...

That being said...The OP that you quoted is a 45yr old man. I know he doesn't post like it, but facts are facts...I was shocked when I found out too.

Didn't you just make a thread about how your parents were going to buy you a new camaro or c6?
