Water spraying from air conditioning vents
I had the blend door replaced by my Chevy dealer about a month ago. They removed the dash and windshield, replaced the blend door and a couple other similar doors they said wear out and might as well be replaced as long as the dash is out. Everything was fine, then a few days ago some water drops were occasionally coming out of the center a/c vents, but not the side ones. I thought it was odd, but figured I would wait until the next time I took it in to mention it. Yesterday, it was 92 degrees, I had the air on for about 45 minutes, then all the sudden it sounded like a waterfall inside the dash, so I turned off the a/c, and it stopped. Tried the a/c again later, and water and ice chips started spraying out of the center vents. So I turned the a/c off again. Later I tried just the fan without a/c, and still water spraying out of the center vents. Anybody have any idea what the problem is? Did the dealership screw something up when the replaced the blend door, or is this something else? I thought maybe heater core, but the water is clear and pure, no antifreeze smell or cloudiness. We were on road trip, and the engine temp stayed cool all day. So I have no idea what this is. I have never seen anything like it before with any car. I will take it back to the dealership, but I would like to have some idea what is going on before I do.

sons honda did something like this, and every time you turned a corner your feet got ice water on them.turned out to be a clogged drain.do you get a water puddle under the car when the a/c is used?if not try poking the coolant drain tube where the water is supposed to come out with a wire clothes hanger.

Ok, thanks for the info. No water on the floor, so hopefully this is a simple fix, and they don't have to take the dash apart again.

Blocked drain or routed wrong. I wouldn't use the AC until its repaired because mold is going to grow in that space like mad.

+1, that’s the only real thing it could be unless you somehow had rain water leaking into the heater box which is incredibly unlikely. Something is up with the drain.
