Patiently Waiting...
|
Startup sound music to my ears
Okay background, Yes I love the Camaro but I am in college and do not have the money nor would it make sense to buy one now so I'm waiting until I graduate to buy one 2013-2014 probably. I have not driven in one yet nor been around any other than what ive seen in parking lots or driving around.
I guess i've watched enough videos because last night while hanging out with a friend watching a movie at school I suddenly heard a familiar sound and knew at once what it was. I stopped the movie and looked out the window and lo and behold the v6 i had seen earlier in the parking lot just started up. my friend said i was crazy for knowing the sound... now obviously its a stock 6 so the exhaust note and what not are not anything special but it was enough for my ears to force me to ignore everything around me and find the source clearly i really really need this car haha! (although preferably an ls3) =D

Sure, it's no V8 but the 6 sounds great at startup. Just enough grumble to let you know that it's capable without waking the neighbors. I personally love it. It calms down to a more "respectable" rumble after a short period at idle but when you get on it a bit there's definitely a roar to the engine. Man, this is making me wanna go drive..... Stupid weather....

As a female who has been around lots of fine sounding vehicles; Fords, Harleys, Dodges, I can only go with what "grabs me". The one that always turns my head... big block Chevy. I laugh now, every time I hear something rev that makes me look, it's a Chevy. Nothing else has that sound/feel. I hear lots of other loud vehicles, but they don't make me go "I gotta see..."

You must have good ears- or I've been to way too many rock concerts. When I got my V8, I couldn't even tell half the time it was running, it was so quiet.
(The Borla catback update, as well as Supercharging/engine mods took care of this!!).
