I am hoping that the 6th gen camaro is the same look as 5th gen just a tad smaller and lighter..... but i wont hold my breath... I do plan to buy one though if it is even close to as cool as the 5th gen.

I think the 5th Gen will always look great, like the 1st & early 2nd Gen ones. |

When I was a kid I thought my grampa's 58 Biscayne was the ugliest car in the universe. I'd give my husbands left nut to have that car back in our family today. Styles change, tastes change, but a classic is timeless.
This Camaro is a classic. I plan to leave it to my grandson and hope he can be smarter than I was. |

Its definitely a timeless car. Only thing I'm worried about is this crappy paint on the cars. I'd be willing to bet one of the number one issues on a collector's mind x number of years from now will be how chipped up is the paint.

i think it will hold its own, it has a nice unique look to it..
and my 2000 audi a4 in my opinion still looks very nice despite its age....in fact i like its shape better than some of the new ones....to each their own =)

Interestingly, some cars do look better with age. When the 4th gen camaro came out, I thought they were boring and ugly. Now I think they are pretty sharp looking cars. So only time will tell with our 5th gen's. |

Consumers are a fickle lot. Much like a super model, tastes and perceptions change over time. It will be interesting to see what happens over time though.
The longevity of any given vehicles styling diminishes a lot over time. Think Lamborghini. Many of us thought that the Diablo was the cat's meow in its day. Now look at the Murcielago and Ghallardo.. They have relegated the Diablo to a secondary class in terms of contemporary styling tastes. And so it goes in the industry. I do so hope that the Fifth Gen Camaro holds up well in the light of its forebears. Only time will tell. Regardless, I love mine. And that, for what it is worth, is what really counts.

The Camaro is a unique design. For me what thats means nothing else will look better than it because nothing else will look like it. Ill give you and example. I love the design of the Lexus LS. But the Genesis essentially copied that car, I still love the LS but somehow the genesis (to me atleast) is an improvement.
I believe this wont happen to out camaros. Like the Challenger they will remain unique looking and age gracefully. |

Over exaggerated styling like the Camaro has doesn't usually stand the test of time well. Just look at the comments the car has been getting this year in reviews compared to last year. I think the most common adjective I've heard repeatedly describing the Camaro inside and out is "cartoonish". That doesn't bode well for a timeless design.
