I'm a little confused. they want 3k more for your car than you paid for it new in 2010? a 2010 LS camaro probably isn't worth but 12-15k. are you saying they're asking 15-18k for it? and what do you mean by "wanted twice as much as I owed" are you referring to the camaro or the charger? it would make things a lot easier if you gave some hard numbers. what did you pay for your camaro in 2010. how much did they give you on trade? how much did you owe (if any) on it when you traded. what did you pay for the charger? were you upside down? what would they give you for the charger?
withouth that it's pretty hard to give you options. |

Well all I can say is, you're in a jam of your own doing and it's gonna cost you. You didn't know that the Charger was going to suck some gas? My other question is, if you liked your Camaro but wanted an upgrade (and don't need the ugly-ass rear doors)... why didn't you just get another Camaro?

Thank you.
Sure, it'd be interesting if there was a hybrid Camaro or Charger, but if you are interested in cars of this type in general, then gas mileage is either "decent", "tollerable", or "terrible". Regardless, it shouldn't really be a shock to anyone. |

Well I bought the Camaro for $23,000 in 2010 and I put a pretty hefty down payment on it so by 2014 I only owed $7000 for it. When I bought the Charger the Msrp for the car was $31,900 but I bought for $25,000 with all the rebates that they had going on. They gave me $16,000 for the Camaro and now they want $19,900 for it. Here is the link to where my Camaro is at. http://www.lakenormanchrysler.com/us...19d90c7138.htm

My two cents;
Sounds like you've got financing on the Charger so you are going to be upside down I'd imagine. Just take a year to drive it and think about what you really want out of your car. By then we will know what the Gen 6 will look like and you can decide if you like it or not. Then start planning for your car that you really want. Then you can seek out that car and either trade in the Charger with some positive equity of look for a trade. Maybe someone with a young family and their Camaro doesn't work but a Charger would. Don't be too harsh on yourself, we've all made a sale or trade we later regret. Learn from it, move on and in the end you'll end up with a car you want, maybe ZL1 ;-) For example, cars I've owned that I wish I kept; '69 Z/28 '70 RS/SS 396 Camaro big Block Challenger '78 Hurst edition Trans Am Gremlin-X with a V8 and 4 speed, ugly but fast So you see you're not the only one.

Thank you for all the kind words I am just trying to get people's opinion on what I should do. That Camaro had a lot of sentimental value to me. When I bought the Charger I thought that is what I wanted but after driving it for a couple of weeks I know that I made the wrong decision.

Live with the Charger for two or three years until you can get out of it without losing your shirt. By then you might be able to trade it for a sixth generation Camaro assuming the new body style works for you.

Enjoy the Hemi....I have both...2009 Charger Daytona and the 2013 Camaro SS. I wouldn't give up either one.
Why you would want to go back to a V6 is beyond me.
