If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable.
What is your goal? Just looking to add some performance and sound or do you have larger aspirations? |

A good air intake is the logical place to start. More air in and more air out equals more performance. Cold Air Inductions Incs and Roto-Fab are the two biggies around here. After that a good axle back exhaust will add a little sound if you want to be able to hear it but not get to aggressive. I would recommend Solo Performance.

If your a automatic you would want to remove the suitcases under you by deleting them......and go from there.

A cold air intake is a great place to start. A ported VMAX throttle body is also a fairly inexpensive upgrade for a few HP. An Elite Catch Can is a must to keep your engine happy and clean. There are a few more options but these should make for a great start. Please let me know if you have any questions and feel free to PM or email us at anytime.

I have a Muffler delete on my 13 auto and love the way it sounds. Nice and deep at low RPMs and really good sound at WOT. It does drone a bit when the AFM kicks on but I just turn the music up and don't hear it. Im looking to get my resonators deleted and install an xpipe in its place as well to make a little louder.

The Roto-fab CAI performs great with the LS3 and L99. We typically see about a 14 HP increase along with a small increase in MPG. You can see a little larger power increase with the LS3. The car tested below has an LS3 and showed about a 17 HP gain at peak.
While you can see a MPG improvement, the hard part is keeping your foot out of it long enough to realize the mileage increase! That's because along with power gains, you will get an awesome sound under acceleration. Here is a little more information about our system. First, it's important to know CAI design and function is much different than most people believe. Subtle design variances can create huge differences in performance. Our intake is actually "tuned" to the stock vehicle calibration. Simply stated, if your intake isn't designed properly, you may end up with a great sounding intake that performs equal to or perhaps worse than the stock system. With the Roto-fab CAI you get the power gains from cooler air, superior air intake capabilities (as compared to the stock air box and snorkel) and a large filter combined with adequate air box volume. However, all of the aforementioned design qualities would amount to nothing if the intake was not also carefully designed to function properly with the engine management system. On the other hand, the same design features listed make our intake a great choice for those of you tuning and heavily modifying your car. Lid or no lid? For the end user, this one comes down to personal preference. As a manufacturer, we make this design decision during R & D. When possible, we prefer an effective seal to the hood. This design gives you all of the benefits of a lid while maximizing the usable air space around the filter. Keep in mind filter size and air box volume become more important as more power additives are introduced. That's one reason our intake is so popular with the supercharger crowd as well as some of the best tuners in the country that are making big time power! At Roto-fab, we do all of our plastic molding as well as our metal fabrication in-house. This gives us the unique flexibility to design and manufacture our products in the method we think is best for a given application. We have intakes with lids-we have intakes without lids. We have intakes with metal air boxes and we have intakes with plastic air boxes. We go with what works! In addition to all of our design features, we offer you the ability to customize your intake to your car and your tastes. Last edited by Roto-fab 1; 09-09-2015 at 03:15 PM. Reason: typo |
