So by your own definition of waste of money, any exhaust upgrade behind the catalytic converters is a waste of money. There's virtually no power gain, the only reason to upgrade the exhaust is sound (possibly weight reduction if you're running down the drag strip to gain at most 0.1 second), and for a typical catback system they cost $900+. So why not rip on catback exhausts because they're a bigger power to dollar waste than cold air intakes? Let people modify their car the way they want to and quit hating on them because they chose something you wouldn't have done.

No sir I use the classic muffler delete for 75$ to get my 3HP. Read my first sentence. It's NOT ABOUT ME SAYING THEY SUCK, or are a waste of money. It's that the search button needs to be used. We have enough pointless threads on CAI including this one.

With this logic you shouldn't have bought a 1le since you could have bought a more powerful used zl1. Why did you waste your money?

Best bang for buck is the Vitesse It doesn't even increase power but feels like it does!!

I've only done intake, axleback, tune, and vitesse. Out of the four, I "feel" on a day to day basis a bigger change with my car after the Vitesse. The tune also made a big difference but cost twice as much and same with the intake.

It depends what you're after though. Better times, best dollar spent, or just better "feel"/responsiveness.

The hardest part is I think they don't even read anything but the thread title. We need another plague.

I'd save my money unless you like to show off the engine bay.

Most cold air intakes don't even cost $500

The basis of the thread is to use the search function not just start a thread "because".

Most catbacks and headers don't cost 1K. Some guys here have that BBK headers and like it. vs using the Spectre air intake which we all know is a big no-no for that same price. But it's a "learn to search thread" not bash you for picking 3HP for 400$ thread.

ĶSome of these cai that are mentioned are not very common on other brands and makes of cars I've seen. So how is a cai so wonderful if its only really popular on one site for one make of car. By dyno numbers alone the z/28 cai is now king. But.....can you buy it through this site like other cai ? Plastic tube...open ended and k@n branded. ....sheet don't jive
