Lest we forget

95 years ago, on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month the guns fell silent in Europe, thus ending the first world war.

At 11 am, please honour the memory of our fallen soldiers, sailors, and airmen by taking a moment to reflect. From the muddy fields of Flanders to the dusty mountains of Afghanistan, and all the places in between in both time and space. Thousands of our finest have paid the ultimate price so that others may live free.

Lest we forget

A Salute to all who have served, and especially to those who paid the ultimate price.

Today's Silver Cross Mom, Mrs Psiharis, today represented all the Canadian mom's who lost a child in any war Canada took part in.
She was Chris Karygiannis's mom, one of our students in Laval, Canada.

Chris lost his life near Kandahar from a effen IED!

We have lost a great deal of service person in the world wars and the modern ones. I heart goes out to the parents of fallen sons and daughters. At least they know he had died a hero if that's any consolation to there grief. I just hope in years to come that the younger generation of our Country remember what this day is all about
