Try connecting your phone to I tunes and re syncing. When done doing so turn your phone off then on then try it in your car. Should solve your problem

Umm, nope. I sync my phone every night. And like I said, I already tried the "Soft Reset" as well as the "Hard Reset"

Are you saying you have iOS4 and not having this problem?

I had been using an iPhone 3GS with the iPod integration since I got my the car in August. It worked great until I put a ton of songs on my Phone, which made the menu's mismatch most of the time and sometimes the audio was choppy, but it was usable still. I tried getting the dealer to upgrade the firmware but they pretty much told me to pound sand so I still have the original firmware. I upgraded to iOS4 on my 3GS on Monday and it was pretty much the same, but I was still able to listen to music and everything.

I got the iPhone 4 yesterday. Now the integration has become pretty unusable. I'll get about half way through a song and it'll turn to static. If I hit menu button to browse songs the audio static will cut out and I'll get no sound, about 20 seconds after that you get the "No supported data screen" that TekkGuy posted. I've switched to Bluetooth Streaming for now...

Ok........so I just went on a 20 min ride to lunch played about 3-4 songs on the way there and skipped 5 others. And the Iphone worked fine. I skipped forward and backwards ands searched songs with no problem.

My phone has been an anomaly, there are other issues that people are encountering when updating the OS, that I haven't so maybe I just got luck

I'm jailbroken. but I'm still running os3.1.2. don't have any problems with my music USB or Bluetooth. oh, I never update until it's been out for a while to see how it works for others.

Well, that because you are using iOS3.x We aren't complaining about that OS, we are complaining about problems with iOS4...

iOS4.0 is junk! All of my apps are crashing and the thing randomly freezes now. Feels more like a windows phone than an apple product!

Wow really? Other then the glitch with the Camaro mine works awesome! I love it. Maybe u got a bad install some how???

I had a problem tonight on my drive home from work, like everyone else my iPhone has been glitchy with the menus and with ios4 it won't even let me get to the artist I want before crashing. Tonight I was going to disconnect it and just stream music over the bluetooth but when I disconnected it wouldn't even let me get to the AUX input to select bluetooth for my phone. It kept going to AUX output. I've never had that problem before. I tried turning the car off and opening the door to get the stereo off and the turning back on but it still kept the same problem. Is there a way to kind of reset the stereo while driving? Other than turning off the car and opening the door, which isn't very safe while driving.

Well guess what? I ran into these issues last night. None of the music stored on the phone will work now, but I can stream slacker/pandora just fine.

Mine goes in and out. When I start to have problems I just hard reboot the Iphone then plug it into the usb port and the radio will recognize the phone. It is a temporary fix but it works.
