Any excuse will do...
Left the house with the top down about 7 this AM. The wife asked where I was off to. To pick up some wax at the Advance Auto store I replied. Love ya, see ya later she said as she pulled the covers over her head.
Pick up some wax? What car guy ever runs out of wax? What Advance store is open at 7 AM on Sunday. This little white lie got me some early morning no traffic on the road open air cruising time. Nothing much better than driving a high powered vert on a 60 degree early Sunday morning. Got home about 8:30 AM, washed and waxed the car with the wax I had in the garage. Finished up about 10 AM went in and kissed the wife on the cheek as she was getting out of bed. Did you get you wax she asked? Yep, I allready used about half of it. Might need some more by next Sunday I replied......

Thats funny! To bad it would'nt work on a Sat nite, then again i could say its alot cooler waxing at nite with no sun out, lol

Works great until she tells you her car is dirty too and it could also use a wax job. Then you spend all afternoon waxing her car too. :o

My wife's not a morning person. She understands if she doesn't coordinate in advance for a Sat or Sun morning, I may be on the road for breakfast and a paper. Fri or Sat nights are a different story; I need to check her calendar before I get a kitchen pass...
