Just had a conversation with my dealer.5th bow is repaired already.I am having some other things repaired as well.Should be ready for tomorrow and if not by early next week!!!
They also applied other tsb's to top.
Hopefully, I will get more than 4000 miles out of this repaired top.

5th Bow Repair

Dealer just called to tell me the 5th bow has been repaired and the other so called "fixes" per the tsb's. Will let everyone know the results over time.

picked up my vert from the dealer after 5th bow replacement.
the seal at the back is noticeably less visible than before and the window indexing is much better.
hopefully I will get more than 4000 miles out of this repair.
but in the meantime...LET THE PERMAGRIN HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!

I am not sure if they are sending letters as I have not received one yet and my vert was part of the program. If you think you might be affected by the customer satisfaction tsb, call your dealers service dept. with the vin#.they should be able to look it up and see if you are in the program. If you are, they should be able to order parts and then let you know when the parts are in for the service.
good luck

My 5th bow broke after 64 miles. Not sure if that makes me the winner, but whatever. It would have been less than that, but I drove it home from the dealer before I put the top down for the first time. If I would have known about all these issues, I would have put the top down a few times before signing on the dotted line... or maybe I never would have bought the car. I don't recall ever hearing a POP when mine went, but as soon as I put it back up, I knew something wasn't right. And that's when I joined this site and learned priceless amounts of information. Thanks everyone!

When my 5th bow went, there wasn't a pop sound either.when I lowered the top it was sitting kind of high in position,I knew then that something wasn't right.I raised the top right away and looked...yup it was the 5th bow.
when the 5th bow broke on mine, no warning,no noise just broke.

5th bow went at 7k miles. in the shop now for the 5th new top and 5th bow. in the past 2 years, it has been broken more than it has been ok. i wonder also if the new 5th bow is any better than the original. i will check the part number when i get the car back. been in the shop almost a month this time. that doesnt bother me IF it stays fixed.

Stop the madness You need to sit down with the service manager and get them to order the total top replacement, mechanics & canvas. Also make sure the updated, enlarged water management system was installed this will also contribute to the 5th bow breaking. There is a part number on the forum for the total replacement, I just can't find it right now. But the service manager should be able to. This is the only real fix I have seen and experienced.
