My Bluetooth adapter actually caused my car to display the service stabilitrak message once by leaving it plugged in. Radio would not turn off with key out and door opened. Next time I cranked the care the message came up. Unplugged the BT module and turned off car, then the message went away. Strange...but only happened once

What kind was it? I know a lot of the cheapo's cause issues and or have slow reporting time.

Wait for them to call you back. If you're not happy with their diagnosis, get a second opinion.

Doing burnouts with a line lock will cause the service stabilitrac light to come on every time. It always goes away the next time the car is started. I see it all the time at the track.

You should never take it to a place if you think this could happen.
