Gasoline, maybe? I run no name/no ethanol 93 octane from a local grocery store. I drive with all the nannies off all the time. The rolling terrain on the foothills of the Appalachians? The fact that I usually keep the cruise set at 65 to avoid a ticket? My break-in procedure? I know my Elite catch can only collects a few teaspoons between changes...

I still check it out from time to time. I'm not a moderator there anymore though. Just didn't have the time to put into it. I retired from the Air Force in 2010, after 23 years. : )

Not quite sure what nanny refers to (after all I'm 66 years old) but I am very envious of your ability to squeeze all those extra miles out of a tankful of gas. We lived any closer, I'd request driving lessons.

"Nannies" = Traction Control and Stabilitrac mostly. They are on all the time, unless you manually disengage them. You know... Nanny as in, a baby sitter that is always there making sure you don't screw up.

Should have figured that out myself. Must be senility setting in. So if I disengage the "nannies" should I expect increased performance, +/- fuel mileage?

It took me a little bit to figure out what nannies were too, when I first visited this site. LOL.

No nannies will allow you to "feel the car" more during spirited driving. Nannies on is definitely safer, but I have heard many say they get a little better MPGs with them off. I could see this being possible but it would all depend on the type driving you do.

I just purchased and installed the K&N 69-4520TP - Performance Intake Kit. From what I read, your supposed to gain some mpg, however, I'm not sure I'm seeing it. I have the V-6 and when I checked the gauge to see the avg. mpg, it read something like 18.5. Does that periodically have to be re set? Shouldn't I be getting better gas mileage? Any thoughts?

That sounds about right for us normal, pedestrian drivers.
