The best filter on the market is the Amsoil EA filters using NanoFiber media. It is the exact same media as the Donaldson Endurance SynTeq media filters. Donaldson holds the patent for the SynTeq media and Amsoil holds a manufacturing license from Donaldson to make the media and named it NanoFiber. Donaldson is fleet products only though.

The Amsoil Ea filter is 100% efficient at 20um absolute, 98.7% efficient at 15um absolute, and up to 70% efficient at 7um absolute using the most current ISO 4548-12 multi-pass test. No other filter on the market has the same filtering capability. Some manufacturers still rate their filters on the older single pass test which is still acceptable according to SAE standards.

I am a firm believer that your motor oil is only as good as the
oil filter you use.Any oil filter that uses a quality synthetic media
will be what you want to use but, some oil filters are more
efficient than others though.I know the Mobil 1 and K&N oil filters
use a high quality synthetic media in their oil filters and are near
100% efficient. Both oil filters are the same though they are made
by Champion Labs.
I would stick with what works for you.
In all GM vehicles I will always recommend using Mobil 1 synthetic
motor oil and a Mobil 1 oil filter since it is proven to work well in these
vehicles.

I thought that only applied to 2011 and up. I believe the op has a 2010.

Went to dealership for an oil change this morning. Service advisor tried to tell me I needed Dexos1 in my 2010 SS LS3. She was offended when I told her she didn't know what she was talking about. I requested Mobil1 full synthetic or my keys back. It finally took three employees to put their heads together and decide Mobil1 was right for my car. They better not send me a survey.

BEWARE 2010 & 2011 LS3 SS owners: Dexos1 is a partial synthetic oil and shouldn't be used in LS3 cars.

Wrong. AC Delco brand dexos 1 oil is semi-synthetic and shouldn't be used in LS3 cars. All other oils on the market that are dexos 1 certified are full synthetic.

That's a valid point JEH. It's important for other LS3 readers to understand that most GM dealerships are serving up the semi synthetic AC Delco version, not the full synthetic versions like Pennzoil Platinum for example.
