45th anniversary 2012 back in the shop again!
So far ( in 6 months)
> New Blower motor for AC > 2 times in the shop for rear wind noise > replace blown engine sensor > now, rear window regulator and motor assembly being replaced as well as a 3rd attempt to fix wind noise also, have the rub marks issue. although I'll live with it.. |

Dang, that is a lot of problems in six months of ownership. The future reliabilty of your car does not look good.

I so want to love this car, but the build quality of these cars is sorely testing my patience. Ill be driving around another loaner car for a week.

Wonder why some of our cars seem to have several issues and others have few or none.

Jeff, thanks for taking an interest. I am really hoping that GM finally admits to some quality control issues on these Vert's and makes us owners whole again. My car will be in the shop until at least next tuesday as the dealer has to order the parts for the rear window motor and regulator, and once they get that installed and adjust the window, then they can take a look at the roof and the wind noise.
I was almost ready to go back to dealer and see what value I could get for the car, and just move on. |

I just got my car back from having the rub marks addressed. You know what GM said? The rub marks are normal and I should wash them off with soapy water!! Yup, deny deny deny. They are still there (as a matter of fact there are rub marks on one on the lot that was there). GM accepting responsibility? I think not. A perfect example of them trying to outlast their problem. I hope you haven't given up on the rub marks. |

I haven't given up on the rub marks. But its the least of my worries. Right now, i would like to be able to keep my car out of the dealership for than a month at a time. The hardware issues and wind noise are my biggest concern. I can leave with the rub marks, until GM gets a solution in place. The rub marks on mine have been minor, and seem to go away when I wash the car.. at least for now..

I noticed that the TSB specifies Model: 2011 Camaro Convertible
Could it be that they will only do the TSB on 2011s and have not issued one for the 2012? |

I found out they just put a tsb out on the glovebox (according to the mechanic that tried to fix ours). We are waiting for parts to be made, lol.
