Yeah my halos (fogs and headlight) are always on during the day since I wired them as the DRLs. I have the orange (amber) ones.

Yes you have to have them modded, which most people use AAC Lighting halos.

I can see getting a kit to make only the halos run, but to me, it seems kind of silly to turn them on with the switch and also run the side lights and taillights in broad daylight

Yep, all the time. That's how I can usually tell an enthusiast apart from other Camaro owners... they use their Halo's.

Mine came with a switch. I just flip them on and turn off the DRLs

like others mentioned, its second nature when i get in the car. sometimes ill forget tho, and i wont notice til i pull up behind a car at a light and see my drl's are on... then i awkwardly switch them over and hope no one is looking cuz for some reason i feel embarrassed lol!
