9.879 for the ZL1 based on Camaro 5. Less than a tenth of a second difference and the gt500 started with 70 hp more.

Yup, H/C, exhaust, tune, intake, pullied, etc. ZL1 is a .10 slower than a bolt-on Gt500 with tires..

You need to look at the mods on the gt500.

I did...looks like bolt-ons to me. Never opened the motor. I also read that he drives his car on his current set-up(8.80s) on the street, but dont know if its "street-legal"

Gears? And E85, not sure if this is just bolt ons but gears are internal.

Spend the same amount of money on each and the GT500 will definitely end up with more power and torque. Hands down. The internals are already forged for big HP and TQ numbers.
