I think you'd really have to crank on it to strip it especially by hand, by the time you put a wrench on it you should know.

I guess if there's no remote bleeder, this is a good option.
Very interesting! Really would like to know if this method of providing pressure via the syringe provides more pressure/force of new fluid thru the master and slave lines than pumping the clutch in the Ranger method (thus resulting in a better flush) or is it just an alternative to pumping the clutch?

I don't see how given a brake master cylinder produces pressure around 1000 psi. The clutch master cylinder probably doesn't get as high as the brakes but certainly more than you can produce with your hand.

What does make a difference if you are having trouble bleeding air out with a separate clutch reservoir is putting vacuum on hole at the bottom of the reservoir. There are probably better ways to bleed the clutch master cylinder, but that worked for me when air kept leaking past the stock bleeder valve.

Those bleeder line extensions with the one-way bleeder valve are really worth every penny.

Think you’re right that pushing the clutch pedal produces more pressure thru the lines than thru the syringe. But seeing that if using a power bleeders to bleed the clutch only requires 10-20 psi maybe either method is good enough.

Probably true, but just don't see the need for the syringe.

i have the remote bleed and do the ranger method quite often. its easy suck out resevior with one of those 2 cycle syringes at walmart. refill with freash fluid pump pedal slowly 15 to 20 pumps all the way up and all the way to the floor. suck out the resevior refill with fresh. repeat the pump procedure. i pumped it out about 6 times it definetly works i put the old stuff in a clear glass jar to look at and used a magnifying glass to look closer it does work even if my spelling doesnt.

Are saying you have a remote bleeder but opt to do the Ranger method?
