Went and did a test fit over the OEM bow tie, think it will be best to use it as a complete replacement instead. For a second i thought i could just put to over the factory one, but i'd rather have a complete replacement, so ima finish up complete replacement tonight

Can you make a write up of the process? Products and materials used, and the sanding and applying the clear. I would like to try this.

That'd be awesome! Seeing your work has inspired me to try to learn this, but lots of options out there on resins, and I'm not sure what works best for our use.

The CF itself is cheap compared to the fake stuff like 3m di noc. The part that make CF expensive is not the materials, but the time that has to invested into making the parts. I made a CF replacement for one dash piece...took too much time and for bigger pieces, would mean using to much CF. So ima just laminate my parts going forward or reinforce them with fiberglass instead.
