JRE 416 Stroker assembly would get the job done. If I were in the market for new internals, this package would be high on my list.

http://jreperformanceparts.com/jre-4...-assembly.html

You need the parts and the tune/support that comes with it.

Thanks for the info,

Im seeing what my options are at this point. I went to a local performance shop here in town and they quoted me between $3000-$3500 for me to bring the motor down and they install new forged parts, I provide all the parts. Does that sound right?

That sounds a bit steep for just the machining and labor; you might want to just buy a short block from one of the vendors if you were doing the engine uninstall and reinstall yourself anyways. If you can do that you have the skills to swap the heads and accessories onto the new block.

I used Wiseco pistons and Manley rods.

The shop chose the rods otherwise I would have went with I beam.

BTW, I have a set of Oliver rods in the garage if you are interested.

If you want some stock replacements I should still have the stock pistons we pulled out of the engine when it was built.

It would if you paid like $1200-$1700 providing parts.

In all seriousness, we do have some nice stroker kits available to suite the needs of Mild to Wild.

Wiseco does make a very nice piston. So does JE. In my other car, I went with custom cut JE pistons and Callies rods.

Out of curiosity, did the engine blow when you downshifted and got on it?
