Oil pressure & start up

Now this has only happened once and since then everything seems to be normal. Was stopping at a gas station and as I about to leave the car wouldn't start. I got one warning and it went away. However I noticed the oil pressure said zero. None of the other gauges were high temp or not reading any issues. Also no check engine light. Fluke or bad sensor?

To clarify, you only drove it drove 10 miles after it happened with no other starts since it happened?

So I ran the codes
P0060-00
U2100

To answer your question. 10 miles before it happened and 10 after it happened. Drove fine today.

Those codes don't seem to have anything to do with each other nor with anything to do with oil pressure readings. The fact that your oil pressure reading is normal now AND that you mentioned you had a starting problem AND stabilitrac light STRONGLY suggests an electrical problem. If you haven't done any starting system components mods or engine mods recently that woud have affected underhood wires then battery is prime suspect. Check its voltage and have it load tested too. Low voltage fluctuations cause all kinds of funky things in our cars.

GM oil pressure sending units have a long history of this. Don't be surprised when one day it reads 80psi.

Yeah bone stock. so I did check the battery visually and was corrosion on the thermals. Not much but I'll probably replace the battery tomorrow

Maybe stupid question... but
is it possible to recognize the difference between the oil pump failure and the oil sensor failure? And failure battery...?

If you actually had low oil pressure, and not just a faulty oil pressure sending unit. You would hear the top end of the motor.

So new battery installed. Started driving home and I get a high temp engine at idle while at a traffic stop. Currently at the time of this post sitting in a parking lot

Coolant for the engine. All other gauges reas normal. I've tried to get it to do what it did but its staying normal again. Maybe new battery triggered something?
