Whatever it is, a dry sump system and other go-sideways goodies would be nice.

The only way it could be too old would be if there were other better engines around. But since the only engine above the LSA is the LS9 and they happen to have debuted the same year, I wouldn't say it's old.
And like someone else mentioned the LS3 has been around since 2006. 3 years older then the LSA |

Problem solved. And yes it bolts up to the LSA lower. Just needs a different seal inside. Robin

Robin, is the LS9 S/C as efficient as the LSA's?

![]() ![]() ![]() How about we just ask GM to take the LS9 SC, recast the plenum, and stick THAT in Z28? ![]() 1900 @ 9.5 psi vs. 2300 @ 10.5 psi; different intakes and exhausts; different cams - good question. I'm thinking the 1900 up to 600 horse' is excellent and 2300 to 700 is about the same. I remember Magnuson saying the rotors for 1900 and 2300 are good to something like 700 and 800 horsepower, respectively. It was in an PHR from about a couple years ago or something. I believe there are boost maps out there, too, that Eaton has posted somewhere...

I think the 1900 is more efficient.

Thanks for all of the information guys. I am still leaning more towards the LS9 S/C for use in the Z/28. Only because of its lower profile and its listing in the GMPP book. But I have no technical information that would confirm that.
