GM should give Camaro a shift light

Hey guys, i was just looking at a video of the 2010 stang and found something i never knew about. The stang has a shift light. The gauge faces turns red.
Watch the vid, would be cool if our tach ring turned red or something of that sort.

Wow that is sweet, I would definitely get that if it was available.

Nice feature.

Cool, but now if anyone does do that all you'll hear is, "That's a Mustang thing..."

Cars have been doing that a long time. Subarus had then in the mid 90's. I think gm expects it's car owners to know when to shift and not need a light to tell them. Lol. Makes sense mustang drivers would want that

That looked like more of a warning that you were red-lining it or over-reving. That or a self-destruct sequence-initiated warning.

Sti's had it in 04 and it was fully adjustable, so its a Subaru thing.

Does it come on every time you press the gas pedal? If it does, that's how you know it's the self-destruct warning.

Yeah but those were gas mileage based....

However the C5 corvette did have a performance based light but only with the Heads up display.
