It's not an exact match but it still looks really cool. I'm really happy with the results. For 45th edition, the white panels allow the light to show the backside of the plastic panels, so it looks bad at first. I just added some electrical tape to black out the parts that weren't black and don't look right.

As for the light not showing up in the middle, it's really hard to get it right. Mine still only looks normal in complete darkness. In any other light, the middle is still dark. What i did was only clip in the side's of the panels and not the middle, created a gap for the light to shine through, and i pushed in the middle only a little bit. It looks fine in the daytime too. Hopefully you understand what i'm saying.

They look like an exact match in my car so I don't know where you are getting your information. The LED's from the kit are installed with the EL wire, if the color isn't a match tell me where the light from the LED's stop and the light from the EL wire starts. Everyone that has seen mine says the dash looks just like the doors only the dash is slightly brighter.

I don't know what the weatherstripping method is. I am perfectly happy the way the dash turned out. If this method works go for it, I just didn't like the uneven look light output before I added the EL wire and I had never heard of the weather stripping method.
