Okay guys I have my 1LE track pack on order. Questions.

Greetings all. I decided to post this on the 1LE forum since it is a question pertaining to the track pack and of course most of you guys have 1LE's so I thought I would just ask.

My track pack is on order and I am also looking toward the Apex lowering springs as well to put on at the same time the track pack is installed. However, I was thinking while it was down, what else could I put on it that would not hurt the geometry and benefit? I'm not going to change sways or anything since it comes with the pack and it's what I already paid for. My question is on bushings.

Would let's say BMR cradle bushings truly benefit the 1LE? I see that they come with bushings already(at least one of the track packs do), and would these be better?

I've also got BMR trailing arms that are going to be installed at the same time.

I had the 1LE track pack with the cradle bushings installed on my 2010. What a difference it made over the original compliant suspension. If you got the kit with the bushings, you should be pleased. Your car is a '13, it allready had a better suspension than the '10, right? BMR or other solid bushings are going to stiffen the ride even more. It depends on what you are looking to feel in your car.

Ah. Yeah I have a '13 and was looking at the BMR bushings. Again, the 1LE does come with the bushings and wondered if it would just be best to just go ahead and go forth with the BMR. The ride isn't too too much of a concern, I would rather not have a super ultra stiff uncomfortable ride. I heard Delrin, you'll feel more bumps and a more rough ride.

The BMR solid poly cradle bushings are an improvement over the standard 1LE bushings. You will feel the difference. But I would not add the solid diff bushings as advised by JRE. They are an improvement too, but you will hear some diff noise with them and over time they can get loose.

Thanks for the information guys. I ordered the BMR rear cradle bushings and should be here at the same time the track pack should. One more question if anyone knows...do I have to get an alignment after the track pack is installed even though I'm using the same springs(SS/1LE)?

You will need a alignment after the install. There is a thread here somewhere with some alignment specs from SS to 1LE and track.

Where did you order the track pack from, and can I ask what it cost?

Just ordered from a shop who also orders from their local dealer. 1350 is around the price I got it for.

I am not sure if lowering springs would be an improvement since you're reducing the stroke of the shocks that they're designed for. I'd personally only change the suspension height with coilovers. Even with that, since we have MacPherson style suspension, the handling will deteriorate as you move away from the designed ride height. BMR recommends staying within 1.25" drop, and I think even that is a bit generous.

If you will track your car, I highly recommend you try your car with OEM springs first to get a baseline. I'd also get a lifetime alignment from a local shop, so you can get it aligned again as you play/experiment with your setup.

Thanks. Yeah I've now decided on keeping the OEM height for the reasons listed and also because I've ordered the 1LE splitter and don't want to risk scraping it. XD
