Leather seats are nice, but I never really did like them. I'll admit that I didn't know how to take care of the leather to keep it soft so it wouldn't get hard and crack. That may have contributed to the tear I've got now. I been reading up on that and I will definitely do a better job from here on out.

I had a small tear in the seat on my motorcycle. It's very small, probalby half the size of a dime, and that may still be too big. I did the damage last summer, and now just getting around to fixing it. I bought one of those repair kits and fixed it. It worked, but the patched area isn't soft like the rest of the seat - its smooth and kind of hard. If you look, you can find the fixed spot. I've also gotta do a better job of taking care of that seat.

Permatex leather and vinyl repair kit, used it before with good results on my truck and leather chair at home.

That's what I got, was one of those Permatex leather and vinyl repair kits. I been swamped with construction work - making the kitchen bigger at my mom and dad's house, and just now getting around to start doing something about it. I fixed the tear spot, put in some backing material and used the glue to glue it all together. It takes several hours to dry and then you put the dye on it so it'll blend in. I'll get to that part tomorrow. Its going to be noticable I believe, even after putting on the dye.

I looked at katzkin, and a couple other places that sell high quality leather upolstery. They all have really good stuff, but they don't have the hot wheels logo on the seat. I really want that logo on the seats.

There's an upolstery shop here, heard they do good work for couches and stuff. Don't know if they do autos or not. I will call them tomorrow and find out. I may end up just buying the oem seat cover and just replacing it.

The logo can be scanned in with the right sewing machine and added on but I don't have any idea how to track someone down with one that works on leather.

I know its been way over a month now, but I went on ahead and bought a new OEM seat cover. The dealer gave me a 10% discount, so it was only $450 plus tax. The hot wheels logo is trademarked, and places like katskinz and leatherseats.com can't put that logo on their covers. I used this post, https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=160904 to help with replacing it.

I took some time and cleaned the rest of the seats real good with a little bit of mean green and water, since mean green is an all purpose cleaner. The meguiars gold class leather cleaner says its got uv protection, so I put that on all of the seats. The leather is coated, so I might be able to just use the 303 protectant since its good for uv protection.
