THE BEST Z28 ever was the 81 Wish I'd never sold it for 10k in 03 ....looking for replacement THE 2010 SSRS is amazingly quick...426hp...12,5 sec...160MPH fine with me however in 2012 I might be tempted with the Z28...we'll see. |

I am waiting paitently for the details on the z28!
of course I am also considering buying a scrapped cts v and dropping it into a v6 camaro and making a custom. I am looking for a car to keep until I am grey and old, should I wait for the z28, build my own, or pick up the zl 575? or the yenko camaro? etc |

If they can keep its costs down and have different engine choice's i would highly consider giving up my 2LT for a Z28. A twin turbo 6 like the Jay Leno edition would fit the bill perfectly for people like me.

a fast camaro with a v6, just seems wrong! I am leaning towards the zl575 from SLP, seems like it has all the mods and costs the same as the 2ss fully loaded up here in canada.
gotta love our dollar being at par. |

No doubt the Z will have a few upgrades that we missed by buying the first year model. (HUD etc.) Plus it will be a factory backed 550+ horse engine. Assuming it gets the LSA of course. Putting a blower on the LS3 is a good way to go, but you may void the warranty, and I want stronger pistons than the stock LS3 for a blown application. If it looks like the BB version in the second movie, had the LSA, then I'd trade up in a heartbeat.

Only way I will ever trade my SS is if they come out with a model with Magnetic Selective Ride Control.

I would have to say no. I've gotten attached to my car! It's like a kid. I wouldn't give my child back to have another kid. I know it sounds stupid but that's just my story and I'm sticking to it!!

The SS is a fine car. and even in 69 the SS wasn't "better" if by much. the Z28 was the better all around performer. just cause ole daddy had an SS you relate to that and that's fine. but wishing for the worst when it comes to a special car is absurd. that's like telling everyone you have the best car and because GM releases another car that is better you are hatting on it. get over it. GM isn't going to stand back and say we got it 100% right with the 2010 camaro SS. They aren't even leaving the SS alone. I can almost guarantee you the next generation SS will be lighter and have many standard features your beloved SS doesn't have. and I can just see you crying about that too. it's pretty childish if you ask me. . . |

If you wanted the top dog, you should have bought at ZR1.
The last SS Camaro I had, GM built the Z28, then sent it over to SLP to add the SS package. The Z28 will likely cost as much as the base Corvette. Which would your rather have? |
