I just can't say enough good things about the IPS Motorsports crew (Tom and Jared). Those guys are awesome. They worked their butts off all weekend. It is hard enough to take one car to the track, but they had two cars to work on this weekend and they got it done. (There wasn't much sleep for those guys). They never quit for a second and they were determined to do everything possible to win.

Those of you who race cars know how hard it is to just get a car down the track successfully. I didn't realize that until I started racing this year. It also takes a monumental effort to get the cars ready to run again after each pass. They have to check it mechanically and check the tune and adjust it each time.

I also owe thanks to Bob Williams, the man who drives my car. The track got a bit dicey late on Sunday night. Several cars hit the wall because it was cold and the track got slick. Bob kept it between the lines and still ran a record time with my car.

Also, thanks to Patrick Barnhill of PTP Racing. He is THE MAN when it comes to tuning.

Also thanks to RPM Transmissions, DriveShaftshop, and Aeromotive. Those guys helped me out more than words can say.

Video!

Finals of the 5th Gen Camaro Shootout. The other car broke so we had a bye. But, the guys at IPS wanted to go for it, so we did. We made our best pass ever: 8.40@169. We won the Fifth Gen Camaro Shootout earning the title of "World's Fastest Fifth Gen. Camaro."

Here was our semifinal pass.

Due to health issues (and the related financial stress), I have decided to sell my Camaro. It was a difficult decision. I have a had a lot of fun with it and I've learned a lot about cars and racing.

The guys at IPS have been awesome and I can't thank them enough for all they have done for me. I am also thankful to Bob and Susie Williams (All Pro Heads), Patrick Barnhill (PTP Racing), RPM Transmissions (thank you, Rodney!), and the Driveshaft Shop for all of their support.

Thanks to all of you. I'm not dying or anything. The problem with having a degenerative spine disease is that it is... well... degenerative. I am not going to whine about it. That doesn't make it better. I just need to accept it and pick a new hobby that is less physically demanding.

I've seen this coming for a few months, but I wanted to finish this racing season. I owed that to my partners in this adventure. I had a lot of fun and I particularly want to thank IPS Motorsports for everything they have done for me.
